Madison+Main Weekly Report for August 21, 2015
“It is fun to have fun, but you have to know how…”
The sun did not shine.
It was too wet to play.
So we sat in the office
On that cold, cold, wet day.
I sat there with Kara, we sat there we two.
And I said, “How I wish we had something more fun to do?”
Too busy to go out, and too busy to play.
So we sat in the office.
We worked so hard every day.
So all we could do was to Work! Work! Work! Work!
And we were all envious of Dave’s vacation,
it was his time for that perk.
And then,
Something went BUMP!
How that bump made us jump!
We looked!
Then we saw them step in on the mat!
We looked!
And we saw them!
Tara and Abby, our new employees, came back!
We know it is stressful, a new job and training each day.
But we still have lots of good fun in every way.
“I know some good games we could play, ” said Lindsey.
“A lot of good tricks. I will show them to you,
Dave will not mind at all if I do.”
Then Kara and I, agreed with her technique.
Our President, Dave Saunders, was out of the office for the week.
“Now! Now! Have no fear. Have no fear!” said Kaitlin.
“Why we can have lots of good fun if you wish,
with managing projects and clients’ task lists!”
“I have no fear!” said Abby. “I will not drop the ball.
I will learn to manage Dave’s task list, these projects, these meetings and all.
I know it is only my second week, but I can handle this list, no problem,
I’m on a streak!”
“Look at me! Look at me now!” said Lindsey.
“With lots of meetings each day, and projects due too,
I can hold down the fort and still go to Trivia Night too!”
“Look at me! Look at me! Look at me NOW!” said Kaity.
“It is fun to have fun but you have to know how.
I can design this new logo, this website and these ads.
I can come up with an idea to sell your product, iron clad!”
But that is not all that did happen this week.
That is not all, oh no, that is not all.
Kara was in town Monday through Wednesday too,
She shot Yard Work’s videos
and helped Tara with a break through.
And Tara got settled into this zoo.
She fell into her role quick as a cat and she said
“Do I like this? Oh yes, I can handle that!
This is a good fit,” said Tara that day
“And I do like it, in every way!”
“Now look what we’ve completed” I said to the group.
“Now look at our progress. Look at this! Look at that!
Dave will be pleased when he returns with his tan.
Look at all the new ads we created and ran!”
This newsletter doesn’t mention specifics like Dave does by name,
but I think you can tell,
we have enjoyed this little rhyming game.
And Dave asked that we write this newsletter in his tone and his style,
Should we tell him about it?
Now what SHOULD we do?
Well… what would YOU do, if your boss had asked YOU?
“From there to here and here to there, funny things are everywhere.”
