The Cheesy Western is Coming to Richmond!!
I told you last week that I had big news, and it doesn’t get any bigger than this.
People have been begging me to open a Texas Inn in the Capital City, since I first acquired Lynchburg’s legendary diners in 2018. Today, we can officially announce that this dream will be a reality and we’re opening a Texas Inn in RVA!
The Texas Inn has really grown across the last couple of years. Our Lynchburg locations are thriving post-pandemic and we opened our third location in Harrisonburg in 2022. As luck would have it, JMU kids love Cheesy Westerns as much as the Liberty University students. We are setting up a commercial kitchen in bustling Scott’s Addition. We will serve takeout and delivery through Doordash, Grubhub, and UberEats so you can get the timeless taste of Texas Inn at your doorstep. If all goes well, we will open our “brick and mortar” restaurant in town within a year.
As you may know, small businesses need capital to grow. In the past, I’ve always gone to a bank. For the Richmond project, I launched an investment offering with Honeycomb Credit. Their website gives friends, fans, and customers of the Texas Inn the opportunity to invest in our success. If you are interested in learning more about becoming an investor in the Richmond Texas Inn, just let me know. Reply to this email and I will send you some details! The investment offering will be live on Honeycomb next Wednesday, January 24.
Peace, Love, and Cheesy Westerns,
Dave
MONDAY:
SET YOUR COMPASS
At the end of last week, our Accounts Director Allison Nida and Account Executive Brandon Segres headed east to visit our amazing clients at Compass Entertainment Complex in beautiful Irvington. Aside from conquering the ropes course and enjoying the many activities that Compass offers, they dined on-site at Meridian Bar & Grill, which is currently undergoing an amazing renovation, to celebrate Brandon’s birthday.
TUESDAY:
SPRING CLEANING
The Madison+Main-iacs gathered at the office to scrub, sparkle, and shine it up together so it looks stellar for some professional photos. We love a chance to gather as a team and we discovered a bunch of treasures around the office. We also found a ton of junk, which is no more thanks to the fine folks at 1-800-GOT-JUNK?
WEDNESDAY:
THE CEOS WILL SEE YOU NOW
On Wednesday, I got together with my unofficial Board of Directors, the nine members of my Virginia Council of CEO’s Roundtable. Recently, I realized that I’ve been a member of the council for 12 years, and it’s a crucial part of our business success as it forces me to work ON the business one day a month, and not IN the business. It’s like group therapy for business owners. To learn more about Virginia Council of CEOS, visit VACEOS.org.
THURSDAY:
DAVE TV
I drove down to Lynchburg on Thursday to shoot a video for the Texas Inn, and although I have spent most of my career behind the camera, they put me in front of the TV camera this time. I have a face better suited for radio. I’m worried the camera will add 10 pounds, plus the 10 I gained over the holidays.
We were also happy to receive a special visit on Thursday from Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares — a JMU grad himself — at our Harrisonburg location!
FRIDAY:
A LOOK AT THE LAW
TGIF! We’re spending a big chunk of the day with our clients at CowanGates updating the images of their legal eagles with a photoshoot. CowanGates and Madison+Main have been mutual clients for more than a decade. Why? Because they are a full-service law firm, offering compassionate, experienced representation across many practice areas. Photos will be up on the website and their social media platforms soon.
