Is Dave Saunders Really Santa Claus?

This week, our Fearless Leader Dave Saunders left the Weekly Report in the (adequate) hands of Kennedy Heidel, Communications Specialist at Madison+Main. With little to no information about his whereabouts, I assumed he was soaking up the sun in Florida from the Tug Life. That was until I received a mysterious call from his neighboring boat that Dave was nowhere to be found and all that was left on his ship was a bottle of bourbon and cookie crumbs leaving a trail of evidence down the marina boardwalk…
So where was Dave? After thorough contemplation of the only logical explanation I could come up with, I have determined that Dave Saunders is in fact, Santa Claus.
EVIDENCE #1 – He’s jolly and rosy-cheeked.
If you’ve ever met Dave, you know he’s a pretty happy guy. He is always smiling or laughing at a joke (even if it is usually his own).
EVIDENCE #2 – He likes to shingle all the way.
If his demeanor at our company Christmas party was any indicator, Dave Saunders likes to raise the roof (and for my purposes here, park his sleigh there as well).
EVIDENCE #3 – He’s looking…well-fed.
If there was anyone in the world who could eat cookies from billions of homes in one night, it would absolutely be Dave. Have you seen him at the Golden Corral?
EVIDENCE #4 – He’s awfully nice and loves gift-giving.
Just look at what we gave out as client gifts this year!
EVIDENCE #5 – Who better to advertise than himself?
Who else could make an entire world okay with someone entering their home unaccounted for other than a marketing and advertising guru? Plus, he loves Coca-Cola.
EVIDENCE # 6 – He’s got little elves who love him so.
I think we all know I’m referencing the Madison+Main-iacs here.
Since we don’t have a Dave Saunders Tracker, we’ll never know but maybe it will be our jolly founder who sneaks down your chimney tonight.
My advice? Let him go go go. After all, he has the best presence.
*This story is completely fictional and only for the enjoyment of our Weekly Report readers. Dave is safely vacationing with his family, enjoying a lot of sun and even more fruity drinks. Kennedy on the other hand may not see the light of day again after her “well-fed” comment…
