Attitude of Gratitude
The Madison+Main-iacs took the day off yesterday to celebrate delightful and delicious Thanksgiving feasts with family and friends. Although we all have a lot to be thankful for – including a long list of incredible clients we get to work with – I asked my team to share what they were most thankful for this season. They were so thrilled that I added another holiday week assignment at the last minute, but they delivered…
AJ Stuit: I am thankful for the fact that I get to see some extended family this year! Last year’s Thanksgiving was much quieter than normal without a house full of hungry Italians.
Alex Osepchuk: I am thankful I get to spend Thanksgiving with my family this year and for my mother-in-law’s ability to bake the best peanut butter balls. (I’ve been snacking on them — don’t tell her!)
Allison Nida: I am especially thankful this year as this is my first Thanksgiving with my daughter – as well as my “village” of family and friends who always come through to help with her as we’ve navigated the new terrain of parenthood. Also thankful to be hosting and welcoming family into our home this holiday!
Andrew Simpson: I am thankful for my dog, Wilson, and my friends, family, and coworkers who have helped me keep my sanity through the busyness of this past year. And the chocolate pie that I brought home from my family’s Thanksgiving dinner.
Art Webb:
Turkey, not really I prefer ham. It is just so boring.
Ham. I prefer it. Nothing better than a ham biscuit the day after Thanksgiving.
Art, not me, real art. A few favorites are Jean–Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring.
New phone! I just upgraded and I am super excited.
Kids. Actually kid, I only have one and they are awesome!
Family. My wife is also awesome! She rocks!
Understanding. The state of the world could use more of it!
Lucky. I am very lucky to have the life that I have!
Bailey Broughton: I am thankful for Nick Saban and Alabama football. Most importantly, I am thankful that Auburn sucks. (This weekend is the Iron Bowl, so we’ll see if Bailey’s prediction ages well.)
Caitlin Sherman: I am thankful for being a Main-iac, good soup, the thesaurus, my super supportive boyfriend and family, and my one kidney.
Carissa Ghaffari: I am thankful for my smoke show of a husband, my increasingly hilarious and snarky four-year-old son, and Ru Paul’s Drag Race. Not today, Satan!
Derek Fair: I am thankful that I am not a turkey.
Erin Rebmann: I am thankful for my friends, family, and my sweet little sassy girl, who we get to celebrate turning two this Thanksgiving…. Also, wine…because she’s turning two #sendhelp
Jenna Farley: I am always thankful for the continuous love and support from my family, boyfriend, and friends. No matter what they got my back and I wouldn’t be nearly as happy as I am without them in my life. I am also very thankful for all of them staying healthy and safe during the past year!
Jeremy Colb: I am thankful for the ability to understand the difference between your and you’re, and there, their, and they’re. I am also thankful for my family, friends, coworkers, and clients. Your all the best, and I am so thankful that their is so much to be thankful for this holiday season!
Katie Rossberg: I am thankful for my dog Ozzie, my family, and canned cranberry sauce (in that order).
Kennedy Heidel: I am thankful for Spanx and mashed potatoes!
Kent Brockwell: I am thankful for my kids, my smoking hot wife, the music of Tom Waits, painfully cold PBR, and Cella’s Dark Chocolate Covered Cherries.
Leanne Pillow: While I am always going on about being thankful for my family – the health, warmth, laughter, and fun we all have – this year, I am especially thankful to have added a husband to the mix! More fun and laughter ahead.
Marita Cardenas: I am thankful for Athleisure, Face Time, and also the option to quickly reply to long text messages with simple reaction icons.
Mollie Banks: I am thankful for my family’s health, that I am gainfully employed, and for the ability to walk my son to and from school every day. I am thankful for my six-year-old wild child who adds spice to my life every day and for my incredibly supportive husband. And finally, I am thankful for my large family and that I get to give them real hugs this year!
Molly Whitfield: I am so very thankful for my three sweet, caring, little girls! Viewing the world from their eyes makes it magical and inspiring every single day.
Rochelle Sommer: I am thankful for candles, mashed potatoes, my family, my friends, and my chocolate lab, Isabelle. But equally important, I am thankful for the man of my dreams – who, in a recent development, wants to MARRY me! #feyoncé
Dave Saunders: And finally, it’s my turn. I am thankful for the great guys and gals I get to work with at Madison+Main. Yes, it sounds corny, but it’s the truth. Or the leftover turkey sandwich I just ate may be giving me tryptophan buzz. Either way, I’m grateful.
