This week’s Madison+Main Weekly Report edition comes to you from sunny Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and more specifically the WiFi bar on board the M/S Zuiderdam, the pride of the Holland America fleet. It’s Spring Break time and I’m cruising with the fam. So don’t worry, the Madison+Main-iacs are all hard at work…and plotting my overthrow…while I am abroad.
We have over 2,000 fans on Facebook, almost 4,000 followers on Twitter and only 98 subscribers on YouTube. What gives? Don’t miss all of the cool videos we post by subscribing to the Madison+Main YouTube channel here.
Since it was a short week at Madison+Main for me, we tried to stuff 12 pounds of potatoes into a 10-pound bag.
Monday 3/25 – Monday was officially a “snow day” with most of my colleagues working remotely…but Art Director, Scott Harris, braved the “Blizzard of 2013” and produced and edited a new video for the MS Society. Check out our version of the Harlem Shake starring almost 2,000 MS walkers here. Special thanks to MS Central Virginia Chairman, Frank Cowan, founder of Cowan Gates law firm, for leading the dance!
Tuesday 3/26 – On Tuesday we had a great meeting with our new client, Davis & Green Electrical. We have just presented them with a new brand and strategy report and will be rolling out new brand creative for them this spring.
Wednesday 3/27 – Wednesday was a very productive 14-hour day, highlighted by two strategy report presentations and a creative concept session. Our new TV ad for YardWorks “The Weekend Warrior 2” launched this week. In case you haven’t seen the ad yet, click here (in my 24 years of advertising, I think this might be the greatest TV spot I’ve ever made.)
Thursday 3/28 – On Thursday, things ran smoother than normal at the office because I wasn’t there. The Saunders Clan flew to Florida to start our Spring Break and the Madison+Main-iacs worked harder than Santa’s elves in mid-December. I spent most of Thursday working from my pocket office, also known as an iPhone.
Friday 3/29 – This morning I slipped into full vacation mode and I have no idea what happened in Richmond, other than the fact that Shaka Smart remains Head Coach at VCU…YAY!!!! That important fact is good for me, you, the city and everyone.
This week at Madison+Main we also celebrated a bunch of Madison+Main-iac birthdays. Here are a few photos of the celebrations. Happy Birthday Kara, Jeff and Colleen!
I hope you and your family have a wonderful Easter, and I hope you enjoy your spring break, whether it is a vacation or a stay-cation. Be on the lookout for next week’s Weekly Report, where Graphic Designer, Colleen Festa, will be pinch-hitting for me.
Have a great weekend folks!
