President and CEO of Village Bank Tom Winfree is a man about town. As a member of more than a dozen civic organizations, including the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce and the Chesterfield County Chamber of Commerce, Tom has made many significant contributions around the Richmond community. To reward his relentless dedication, the Chesterfield Business Council presented Tom with the Bernard L. Savage Community Service Award on Tuesday, April 26 during a sold-out breakfast at Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse.
Madison+Main had the privilege of creating a video about Tom Winfree and the Bernard L. Savage Award, which recognizes an individual for selflessly giving time, talent or other resources to promote and enhance the quality of life in Chesterfield County. As the leader of Village Bank, Tom refers to his employees as the “Village People.” So, we felt that it was only appropriate to incorporate the Village People into Tom’s video. To do this, we invited his friends, co-workers and colleagues to come say a few kind words about Tom while donning “Village People” hats. We decided to break down the footage into separate parts, each highlighting the different aspects of Tom: Tom the Man, Tom the Business Leader and Tom the Community Leader. The video even featured a congratulatory segment at the end where Village Bank employees danced to “YMCA”.
Madison+Main would like to congratulate Tom Winfree, as well as thank him and everyone who participated in the video for being such good sports. We’d also like to sincerely thank the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce for inviting us to take part in the celebration. We thoroughly enjoyed creating this video, even if we’ll never be able to get that song out of our heads.
