Brown Distributing, a leader in beverage distribution, needed more than just a facelift. They needed a complete digital transformation. Their current website needed attention to more efficiently adapt to the variety of users visiting it: distribution partners, suppliers, sponsorship seekers, career prospects, and employees. Madison+Main stepped in to design a modern web experience and produce compelling “Day in the Life” videos to help with personnel and hiring. The result? The challenge

Brown’s original site was outdated and overly complicated. It needed an overhaul that preserved important information but delivered it in a clear, intuitive way for diverse audiences. We aimed to:

- Create a password-protected back end and customer portal to serve B2B needs, such as sponsorship requests (think state fairs) and event support (like getting a Brown truck onsite for those local festivals!)
- Ensure smooth user flow for internal team members, partners, and career seekers.

At the same time, Brown wanted to showcase career opportunities with real employee stories — no actors, no staged environments– just authentic narratives telling the story of careers at Brown. But filming in live, working environments came with challenges:
- Shooting in a functioning warehouse meant limited control over sound, lighting, and background visuals.
- Keeping the videos evergreen called for careful framing—no seasonal products, no time-sensitive branding.
- Filming inside a Kroger grocery store during business hours required careful planning to capture quality footage without disrupting operations.
