There Is Good News This Week

Election Day has come and gone, and our nation’s longest singular obsession is complete. The good news is that at least the candidates for 2028’s Presidential Election won’t start campaigning until 2026.
On Wednesday about 1/3 of Americans were happy, 1/3 were sad and the rest just didn’t care – since less than ⅔ of eligible voters bothered to vote. Regardless of your sunny or rainy disposition this week, I thought I’d try to raise your spirits with GOOD NEWS that the nightly news didn’t cover:
Greenhouse Emissions Dropped 8% Last Year in Europe.
North Carolina Man Wins $1 Million Lottery After Finding $20 Bill in Parking Lot.
Trick-or-treaters Leave Candy for Hospitalized Boy in Woodhaven, Michigan.
Eli Lilly’s Alzheimer’s Drug Kinsula Reduces Brain Swelling.
1.3 Million Acre Park in Amazon Created To Protect 400-600 Year Old Trees.
Hanover County Firefighter Is Saving Lives in Belize With His Non-Profit Organization.
And here’s the last bit of good news. It will be sunny on Saturday and rainy on Sunday. We all need both sunshine and rain – that’s just how it works.
The sun will, indeed, come out tomorrow. It will rise extra, extra early at 6:43 am, because Daylight Savings Time, signed into law by Richard M. Nixon in 1974, ended last weekend. According to recent polls 50% of Americans want permanent DST…and the other half wants something else.

TRIP TO HOLIDAY BARN
Director of Accounts Allison Nida and Accounts Manager Amanda Anderson took a trip down to their favorite resort and spa, Holiday Barn Pet Resorts. The team yipped and yapped about marketing plans and goals for 2025. The most impressive ideas came from Finn, obviously.

THURSDAY:

Did you know that you can feed everyone at your next event for $12 a person? Whether you’re hosting 20 or 150 people, the Texas Inn has your back with all things catering (and cheesy). Good. Fast. Cheap. Catering. Click here to learn more.

FRIDAY:
PREVENT THE DAMAGE
ICYMI, we teamed up with WRAP and Virginia DMV for their mission to prevent drunk driving and encourage Virginians to find a sober ride home. Our creative team has worked tirelessly on this campaign, and I’m so proud of all of the work they’ve created so far. Here’s a sneak peak at some coasters coming to a convenient store near you. Be on the lookout for TV and radio spots coming soon!
