Help Wanted?

The first job I ever had was at Brookville Drug Store. I worked for $3.35 per hour delivering prescriptions. I was 16 and it was 1984. At first, I rode a bike, then once I passed my driver’s test, they handed me the keys to the worst car ever made, a 1972 Ford Maverick. How’d I get the job? I saw a sign in the window that said, “Help Wanted.” I talked to the manager for a bit and I walked out with a job.
Times have changed. The minimum wage has almost tripled. The “Help Wanted” sign has been replaced by an Indeed listing and a promoted post on Facebook. There are a lot of reasons why there is a labor crunch right now, and we’re not going to get into the politics of it, but hiring qualified staff today is more challenging than ever.
In today’s competitive talent market, you cannot simply post jobs on job sites. You need creative recruitment advertising strategies to reach those hard-to-find candidates. Employers need to reach candidates across the web, not just on job boards. By engaging with prospects who are actively seeking jobs — and those who are already employed — you can generate a consistent pipeline of rockstar talent.
Employers, both small and large, are focused on “finding candidates,” but we think it’s better to use branding and marketing strategies so our clients can be found by prospective employees. It’s better to turn “applicants” into “applicans.”
We’ve got to brag a little bit here. Companies that have hired us to help with their recruitment efforts are being handsomely rewarded. Here are just a couple of examples:
- At Texas Inn, we’ve used new techniques on social media and old-fashioned techniques with in-store signage to help get them fully staffed.
- For Trash Fairies, we’ve been able to drive more than 1,200 job leads through a targeted digital campaign that we launched in August.
- We helped another client recently with an executive search. The LinkedIn ad campaign cost half as much as we had budgeted.
So whether you need help with landing pages, storefront signage, QR codes on menus, or even just a catchy job description for your next posting, we can solve the biggest challenge you’re facing right now — finding the right job candidates. Just call us at 877-623-6246 and say “help wanted.”

“Don’t not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of thA very tight labor market is illustrated by near-record job openings as well as the record rate at which workers are voluntarily leaving jobs. Reduced labor-force participation, demographic trends, and skills mismatches are contributing to an incomplete recovery in Employment despite the elevated demand for labor. The labor market will continue to pose a challenge for many businesses through at least 2023.e light.” — Alan Beaulieu, ITR Economics
