Today, in honor of tomorrow’s sad yet important anniversary, we would like to take a moment to remember the almost 3,000 Americans who lost their lives 20 years ago on Sept. 11.
At the time, we promised that we would never forget. That gets a little harder every year with the passage of time, but I hope you will take a moment to pause and reflect on that day and how different our world is two decades later. Perhaps I can offer you some solace with this; we should continue to be thankful for our first responders and brave men and women in uniform. After all, it’s been 20 years and they have kept us safe since.
The Madison+Main-iacs celebrated the fruits of their labor and a nice long weekend with a much-deserved day off on Monday. The team celebrated the unofficial end of summer with backyard barbecues, soaking up some sun, and back-to-school shopping sprees. HAVE FUN, GO NUTS
On Tuesday, the team worked with the Virginia Department of Health for a COVIDWISE sponsorship at some Richmond Flying Squirrels games during the week. The team, and Nutsy, encouraged fans to download COVIDWISE and get vaccinated from the mobile vaccination van. It was such a smash hit, the takeover continued on Wednesday with a win over the Akron RubberDucks.
This week, Account Coordinator Bailey Broughton submitted, “What’s the earliest news story you remember from your childhood?” for M+M’s Question Wednesday. Some of these answers included Tupac and Princess Diana’s death, 9/11, and the invention of the wheel. My memory was President Nixon resigning. Our PR people had a field day with this one…
DISCOVERY & CORE
On Thursday, the team had a jam-packed day. First, we presented our Discovery Report and Marketing
Recommendations to Atlas 42, Richmond’s premier event venue located in the heart of the Innsbrook Shoppes. The team met with Atlas 42 for an incredibly successful meeting and discussion about upcoming projects.
Then, we met with our new client Brown Distributing for their WebCORE, a deep-dive into the core of their brand and website. Afterward, the team cracked a cold one in celebration of their hard work.
A SOCIAL WEEK
This week, the Madison+Main-iacs created a new social media campaign for our client A. On Friday, the team celebrated a milestone for our client Compass Entertainment Complex — their one-year anniversary week! The team produced some killer social media graphics and posts in honor of their #OneCompassOneYear celebration. It’s not too late to join in on the fun.
