We are thrilled to announce our relationship with Comfort Zone Camp, winner of our 501(c)3 nonprofit Reverse RFP (Request for Proposal). Comfort Zone Camp offers bereavement services for 7-17 year-olds. The camp offers year-round services, for free, to children who have lost a family member. Their aim is to restore confidence and help with the coping and adjustment periods that follow a death. Through their programs, Comfort Zone Camp gives children a safe place to grieve and to grow.
Comfort Zone Camp has locations in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Virginia with plans to expand to Texas in 2011. The organization will receive a variety of professional services from our partners, V4 Web, Knowledge Advisory Group, Thinkhaus, Wythken Printing, and ByteJam. Madison+Main will oversee project management as the organization receives, as well as provide marketing, PR, and advertising strategies so Comfort Zone Camp can continue expanding and helping children through one of life’s most difficult times.
The process of choosing among the 62 proposals received from organizations was incredibly tough, but extremely rewarding. There are some amazing nonprofits in our area, many of whom we have never heard of before, all who work every day to enrich the lives of Richmond-ers and others that they serve in different states. Reading the proposals that we received was humbling and inspiring; a learning experience we won’t forget.
Now let’s get to work!
