First off, who doesn’t appreciate a good craft beer?
All right, all right. I understand that there’s such a thing as “gluten free” people, like my favorite Graphic Designer on staff, who physically cannot enjoy a good beer. But otherwise, who can say no? I certainly can’t.
When Brian Chandler, President of CommonwealthPR, approached Madison+Main with an open invitation for a free meal and discounted beers at Short Pump’s newest restaurant and brewery, we couldn’t say no!
If you haven’t heard, Rock Bottom Brewery is now in Richmond. In fact, the swanky establishment just opened its doors to the public on Monday!
But get this – last week, a couple lucky Madison+Main-iacs and our friends from CowanGates had the opportunity to sample their food and brewskis at a VIP Launch Event put on by CommonwealthPR. Guys, the beers were $2. And the best part? All proceeds from the three-day event went to benefit FeedMore.
Have you been? If not, I highly recommend checking them out!
And for starters, I’d get one of these…
Thanks again Brian and the folks at Commonwealth PR!

By Sarah Dawes Murphy, Marketing Communications Executive Ah, May. The end of the academic semester. The time when Madison+Main-iacs try to squeeze work into every last second our out-going interns spend still roaming the first floor of 101 E. Cary. Cruel? Maybe. But we’re really just prepping for what I’ve come to call, “The Intern Void”—thatContinue Reading

It’s tough when people criticize your work product. Especially in this business, the ad business, where we put a lot of time and thought and creativity into projects, it is difficult to be subjected to criticisms. We expect our peers to be respectful and constructive. We let clients be more than honest with feedback. ButContinue Reading

By Lindsay Wade, Account Services Intern As a kid, when you played superheroes with your friends, everyone would pick a superpower. There was superhuman flight, super speed, telekinesis; and then there was that kid that always picked invisibility. Invisibility? Seriously? The playbook of advertising is constantly evolving and in many ways is turning inside out. Facebook has augmented the social web experience in ways we never imagined a decade ago. The amount of content available for immediate sharing is overwhelming. In time, marketers learned that social sites would provide the widest audiences possible, so theyContinue Reading
This is not a new topic but we continue encountering sites like FFFFound and Vi.sualize.us in natural search results and elsewhere on an increasingly regular basis. This draws the conclusion that image bookmarking is gaining traction in a much broader web audience through a handful of platforms. Web users across the board love image searchingContinue Reading
