We’re back!
Dave skipped town to take his family to Ocracoke, so this week’s Madison+Main Weekly Report is brought to you again by the Madison+Main Fab Five: Account Manager Kelley Miller, Account Executive Sammy Yatco, Senior Account Manager Katie Hurst, VP of Brand Strategy Kara Forbis and Account Executive Sarah Murphy.
We’re secretly thinking of taking over the Weekly Report on a full-time basis, so let us know how we do in Dave’s absence. #mutiny
Monday (8/19) – By Account Manager Kelley Miller
For the Main-iacs, Monday was recovery day. On Sunday night, we held a Secret Millionaire premiere party at the Capital Ale House Music Hall for Debbie Johnston’s appearance on the hit ABC show. The party was a rousing success. Thanks Debbie and the whole team at Care Advantage!
On Monday afternoon, the entire office was suffering from sugar shock aka candy overload from all of the leftover party candy. #skittles #reesepieces
Here’s a view of the candy bar from Debbie’s big premiere party
Giveaways for all of the guests: “RVA has a Secret Millionaire” t-shirts and signed copies of “The School of Heart Knocks” by Debbie Johnston
Tuesday (8/20) – By Senior Account Manager Katie Hurst
Tuesday was nothing short of crazy, especially since our Account Team was complete withKara Forbis working in the Richmond office for most of the day. On Tuesday afternoon, our friends from Richard Bland College came in for a working lunch to discuss social media strategy. Check out their Facebook and Twitter pages and be sure to like and follow them!
Most of our Account Team ended the day with drinks, popcorn and previews at Bowtie Cinemas for the CBS 6 Premiere Party. Thanks to CBS 6 and awesome rep Nan Choi for contributing to our favorite habits: addictive shows, drinks and junk food!
Wednesday (8/21) – By VP of Brand Strategy Kara Forbis
Wednesday was full of technology and teamwork. On Wednesday morning, Katie, Dave and I developed a campaign for Uptown Alley that promotes Sunday football specials. Since I was back in the Blacksburg office, Dave was out of the office and Katie was in the Richmond office, we had to use a hodgepodge of electronics to connect us all. Luckily, we had Skype and cell phones.
Speaking of football, did you know that Uptown Alley offers the Sunday NFL ticket? And has over 90 HD TVs for you to watch the games on? And… still speaking of football, here’s a shout out to my two teams: Go Dawgs! Go Hokies! #UGA #VT
Thursday (8/22) – By Account Executive Sammy Yatco
On Thursday morning Sarah, Kelley and I attended another CBS 6 event, a seminar fromTom Roy of Jim Doyle Associates on “The New Rules of Local Advertising.” The presentation reinforced a lot of the marketing practices we currently use for our local clients and got us thinking of some new ones. Thanks CBS 6!
Friday (8/23) – By Account Executive Sarah Murphy
If I had to describe today using 3-5 brand pillars, they would be as follows:
Productive: We’ve all been chipping away at client projects and brainstorming new concepts throughout the day…even with three dogs roaming the office!
Cozy: The afternoon rain storm is making us all want to work on the couches downstairs with our laptops, hot tea in hand.
Sugary: Because the leftover party candy Kelley referenced on Monday is still lingering…
Sad: Today is our Digital Marketing Intern Emily Pickering’s last day with us. We hate seeing our interns go, but are excited to welcome a new batch in the coming weeks!
Have a great weekend everyone!
